Sharon Lunsford holds an M.A. in comparative politics, with international relations and public law as secondary fields. She also has a B.A. degree in psychology, with German as a second major. Thanks to a childhood spent mostly in Peru, she gained firsthand knowledge of Latin American society and an ability to read Spanish. She excelled in French in high school but has unfortunately forgotten much of what she learned. She does not claim to be able to speak either French or German with any effectiveness but can still read them to an extent, and will occasionally stumble through a conversation in Spanish. However, she is fascinated by the variety of languages in the world.
